Transform

At a time of existential pressure for higher education and the arts, we are choosing renewal. Transform is our new initiative to invest in what matters most: creativity, community, and impact.

Transform - Reimagining what the arts at Illinois can be through bold vision, community participation, and collective investment in our future.

Intro

Through this effort, we will support community-engaged projects, provide scholarships for students leading social change, and expand our capacity for curricular innovation. Transform is not just fundraising — it is a commitment to rebirth, ensuring our college grows stronger, more connected, and more transformative in the years ahead.

Transform Priorities

Gifts to Transform will be directed toward the following core commitments that advance our mission and create lasting impact across the arts at Illinois:

  • Faculty- and student-driven community projects that foster long-term, reciprocal partnerships.
  • Scholarships for students leading social impact through the arts and design.
  • Curricular innovation enabled through the expansion of our academic units.
  • Visiting artists, designers, and scholars whose work aligns with our vision for a more connected and creative future.

At the end of this academic year, the college will reemerge Transformed, with a new name, an evolved mission, and renewed purpose.
